Recently @treeswaterpeople staff, board and volunteers planted almost 400 ponderosa pine seedlings in the Cameron Peak burn scar. 🌲
As the weather begins to creep into the higher digits, we become aware of potential wildfire dangers that lies ahead.
#UpdatesFromTheField: TWP has now learned that the Cerro Pelado fire is heading towards Capulin Canyon and within 10 miles of Los Alamos, NM.
#UpdatesFromtheField. This week we are facilitating a knowledge exchange for our #CentralAmerica partners. The exchange of expertise and experiences is a key element in the process of implementing #development solutions. Therefore, we offer this space that aims to recover regional understanding and jointly build knowledge from the particular lenses of each country and context in Central America.
We are broken hearted to see and hear about the rapid wildfires that are taking various New Mexico communities by storm.
Despite their best efforts, in the 4 first months of this year alone, @reserva_coeas has fought 7 fires, none of which are from natural causes.
