Project 7 donations support our reforestation efforts throughout Central America and Haiti, including the El Porvenir tree nursery (pictured) in El Salvador.

We love working with innovative and socially responsible companies that are committed to conserving the Earth’s natural resources. Project 7 is one of these unique businesses with a clear mission to “Save the Earth” and a long history of generosity in support of that mission.

Project 7 and Trees, Water & People (TWP) have been partnering to “Save the Earth” since 2011. As a reforestation partner, TWP works with Project 7 to plant hundreds of thousands of trees each year. With their continued support, TWP plants over 50 species of trees in 5 different countries throughout Latin America (Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Haiti). These trees help restore local watersheds, improve soil health, and increase biodiversity in ares that have been threatened by deforestation.

Project 7Project 7 is dedicated to bringing great flavor back into your day while at the same time giving back to 7 areas of need. Little purchases when added up can pull many people together and make life changing impacts every day of the week. As Tyler Merrick, founder of Project 7 says, “If people are going to buy things – lots of things – then let’s use those things they purchase to help change the world around us. Let’s make everyday products for everyday people to solve everyday problems around the globe.”

The 7 causes chosen by Project 7 are the areas they see the most need in this world. These include: Feeding the HungryHealing the Sicksupporting those who Hope for PeaceHousing the HomelessQuenching Those who ThirstTeaching them Well, and Saving the Earth.

Every time you purchase a product from Project 7’s Save the Earth line, you are directly supporting our efforts to plant trees and improve the environment. For a list of retail locations click here.

About Project 7:

Founded in 2008, Project 7 has been a leader in the social entrepreneur movement by realizing the opportunity to make a difference in the world by selling everyday products that we’re already consuming and giving back on the sales of those products.

Thank you Project 7!

Project 7 is a cause-related company that makes everyday goods like coffee, bottled water, gum, and mints take on a deeper meaning. Project 7’s Save the Earth products help Trees, Water & People plant fruit trees with rural families in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. In 2011 alone, customer purchases contributed to TWP planting 32,986 fruit trees, benefiting over 3,200 families by giving them access to fresh fruit!

By partnering with socially-conscious companies like Project 7, we are collectively helping thousands of families and making the Earth a greener, bountiful, more healthy place to live.

TREES, WATER & PEOPLE TEAMS UP WITH PROJECT 7® TO HELP SAVE THE EARTH THROUGH NATIONAL LAUNCH OF GUM

Trees, Water & People will be  supporting Project 7®’s national launch of Save the Earth Fresh Mint Gum in nearly 1,500 Walmart® Supercenters nationwide.  Project 7 is committed to ‘changing the score’ by educating people that by simply purchasing everyday products they are participating in positive and meaningful change, and Trees, Water & People is proud to honor this charge by facilitating tree plantings in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua in return for the portion of proceeds it receives from Project 7 gum purchases.

The nationwide launch will enable Trees, Water & People and Project 7 to dramatically increase its support of one of its key areas of need as each tube of Save the Earth Fresh Mint Gum sold plants one fruit tree back into the earth.

“Through this partnership we are helping to replenish trees cut, but also to increase nutrition, economic opportunity, and beauty of rural communities,” said Claudia Menendez, International Program Coordinator.

Beginning in October, Project 7’s Save the Earth Fresh Mint Gum (MSRP $2.88 per 55-ct. tube) will be available in Walmart Supercenters all across the U.S., in addition to already more than 3,000 retail stores nationwide and Project 7’s online store.

“Through the purchase of everyday products like Project 7 gum, people instantly know the exact impact they are making,” added Tyler Merrick, founder and CEO of Project 7.  “We anticipate, through our new national distribution channels alone, providing more than one million fruit trees just from the sales of Project 7 gum.”

In conjunction with this national launch, Trees, Water & People supports Project 7’s encouragement of people to ‘Join the MoveMINT’ and spread the word about making positive change through purchasing these products, volunteering within their communities and helping educate their friends and family on ways to better the lives of others through giving back.

Project 7 Products Plant Trees, Save The Earth

This gum plants a fruit tree!

Project 7 is a cause-related company that makes everyday goods like coffee, bottled water, gum and mints take on a deeper meaning.  Project 7’s  Save the Earth products help Trees, Water & People plant fruit trees with rural families in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.   So far this year, customer purchases have contributed to planting 27,286 fruit trees, benefiting over 2,500 families by giving them access to fresh fruit that can be consumed and/or sold for extra income.  In addition, fruit trees add beauty to each family’s home.

Funds from this joint venture directly benefit TWP partners like  Arboles y Agua para el Pueblo (AAP) in  El Salvador.  AAP is a dedicated team that makes our detailed nursery work possible.

The AAP team take a break from working the nursery.

Their efforts to meticulously collect seeds, make compost,  fill each bag with soil, plant each seed, water 40,000 seedlings daily,  and watch them grow into trees make our nurseries a community-led success. When the time is right and the rains have fallen, our reforestation team facilitates workshops to educate families about the importance of tree planting and how fruit trees can enhance their family’s well-being.

By partnering with forward thinking companies like Project 7 we are collectively helping  thousands of families and making the earth a greener, bountiful, healthier place to live.
