TWP Launches New 100% Replanted Website

100 percent replanted

We are excited to announce the launch of our new and improved 100% Replanted website! The 100% Replanted Program offers businesses and individuals a way to easily and affordably offset their paper use by supporting Trees, Water & People’s Reforestation Programs in Latin America. We have designed simple-to-use paper calculators that will help you or your business determine your paper footprint. You can offset the paper from one event, one month of business, or your entire annual paper footprint. This innovative program allows you to reduce, reuse, recycle, and replant!

Trees Water & People and our local partners manage the planting and care for all the trees purchased through the 100% Replanted Program. The trees are planted on private and public lands throughout Central America. Since 1998, TWP has planted more than 5.6 million trees in Central America, Haiti, and the United States. Planting trees in Latin America has several important benefits: the cost of planting is low, the trees grow quickly in the tropical climate, and the tree nurseries create jobs for local people.

Thank You to Books of Discovery

TWP and El Salvador partner Arboles y Agua para el Pueblo (AAP) would like to give a special recognition to Boulder-based company, Books of Discovery, for being the lead sponsor of our tree nursery in El Salvador between 2003-2009. Through their participation in TWP’s 100% Replanted program, Books of Discovery has offset over 9 million pounds of paper and planted 45,000 fruit and hard wood trees that provide timber, delicious fruits, and increased nutrition, shade, and sustainable firewood to families.  Through this sponsorship and community collaboration, 180 acres of land have been reforested and many communities enriched. Thank you, Books of Discovery!

100% Replanted: Replant What You Use

100% Replanted is a unique program where you can calculate how many trees go into the wood and paper products you use each year, and then pledge to replant the trees you use. These trees are planted in and around the Magdalena Protected Area in El Salvador, where they will be safe from cutting. See the 100% Replanted website for all the details.
