Help Us Fight Waterborne Disease in Haiti

Contaminated water in Haiti poses huge health risks to the already crippled population of this country.  The latest cholera outbreak has proven how dangerous this problem can be: more than 250 people have died and thousands more have been sickened by this waterborne disease.

Together, we can help the Haitian people gain access to clean water by providing them with fuel-efficient, clean cookstoves. These stoves allow families to boil their water using considerably less fuel and these stoves emit up to 80% less carbon monoxide and particulate matter.    Please consider a small donation to our fundraiser: 100 Stoves for Haiti.  If funded, this project will bring clean cookstoves to 100 different families, providing clean drinking water to over 600 people (average family size is 6 people).

To date, Trees, Water & People has provided nearly 6,000 fuel-efficient cookstoves to Haitian families in need.  But, there are hundreds of thousands more who can benefit from this technology.  Donate today!
