Help Trees, Water & People bring the classroom to the great outdoors!

No Child Left Inside

Trees, Water & People is partnering with Poudre School District (PSD), Lopez Elementary School, REI, and the Larimer County Open Lands Program to refurbish the district’s Outdoor Wildlife & Learning Site (OWLS).

What: Please join us for ½ day of volunteering to
• Plant trees
• Remove invasive Russian Olive
• Remove litter

Where: The OWLS at Lopez Elementary School in south Fort Collins.

When: Thursday, October 22nd. 8am‐12pm

Why: We need volunteers to help with the first phase of this project, improving the natural environment of the site. Once we have done so, PSD will install permanent benches on the site to re‐create the outdoor classroom that once existed there.

By creating this outdoor classroom, we are joining the No Child Left Inside
movement to bring awareness and appreciation of the outdoors to students,
faculty and staff, as well as members of the surrounding community.

To volunteer, please contact Lacey Gaechter at Trees, Water & People:, (970) 484‐3678. Event is limited to 10 volunteers, selected on a first‐come‐first‐serve basis.

We look forward to seeing you there!
